I know a car is different but there was still plenty left from the setup. Now if anyone has feedback on those speakers that would grand.
Sorry but there's nothing special about being able to hear any car stereo at 80-90 - it's a car! There's no wind noise

Clearly the windows were down and a sunroof was open there is plenty of wind noise in an early 90's sedan.

Windows down vs open air environment...not even close bud.
Run a 50x4 on your sled and youll be lucky to hear it at 50mph. You can get there for under $450.

Correct its not close. its louder in a IMHO. Think about it, air is going into the car, around pillars and then recirculated through out the car. On the sleds it simply just goes pass you. I am very confident I can have a loud and clear sled and not break 500 on equipment. Right now I am just trying to decide speakers but it seems most guy on here are running top tier lines that my budget isn't supporting.

Polk mm6501 components and a sound stream pn4.520 or 4.1000 sounds awesome. I ran this set up for a long time, that set up there will be 300.00 bucks, 200 for speaks and 100 for amp! And you can hear it at 80

Just my 2 cents. A system that can be heard clearly and loud on a sled is very obtainable in the 600 range. Now that being said.....most people say they want a cheap setup that is clear and loud but really none of us know what we want till we have it lol. I think the reason most people just bite the bullet and spend the cash on top tier stuff is because they don't want to risk being disappointed and wind up spending more dangerous money. At least that's how I looked at it when I started. But again that is just my 2 cents.

ok now you are just trolling or you are just guessing. This is not a car audio forum please stop trying to compare the two.

Well ..... I have a BT 4180 amp/BT 7.1 Pro's in the fairing/HT lids with Kicker 11KS693's and it's not a symphony at 75+ mph. I'm 6'3" and my ears are quite a bit above the preferred sound threshold level of the 1996-2013 batwing fairing. I also use a LRS 11" flat top shield to help deflect wind. If I crouch it makes a world of difference . The newer designed Rushmore fairings/speaker placement is much more audio friendly.

^^^^^^^ That!!!

Hell, if the OP thinks Car wind noise and sled wind noise is equivalent at 70+ mph I would recommend 1 of 2 things:

1) Buy a windshield for your car, or

2) Just throw some Fischer Price speakers in your sled cause ur ears are pretty jacked up to begin with.
