Coaxial or components

Both do a very good job. Just depends on the set up. Components are more labor intensive. You have to find a place to mount the tweeters and crossovers. Coaxials drop right in. Quality speakers are also a factor. For example the focal KRC coaxials would sound twice as good as the kicker components. Again, depends on the set up.

Very true. Sound to your ears is the great decider. I'm running focal krc 165 in my rear pods and JL zr 650 CSI components in the front. Sitting still the focals are louder in the tour pack but at speeds the JL are a lot warmer and clearly Stand out due to being components.
So to answer your question, it really depends on what your wanting out of the system. For most coaxial speakers are the way to go.

how?
I am just curious how some of you justify spending $300+ on a set of speakers for a sled? can you actually hear the clear differences at hwy speeds? I am asking this because I am currently checking out some of the following.

guess I walked into that response.... I mean I'm doing everything I can to keep my cost under 450 for the whole system and it seems coming on here everyone is running that just in speakers. now I am missing the discounts I got when I worked in a shop those years.

$450 should be just right. if you cant make something loud and clear for $450 you may need let someone else handle that for you. I have had systems in cars with 50x4 rms active and not even past 1/2 on the volume and there was no issues flying down the interstate doing 80-90. I know a car is different but there was still plenty left from the setup. Now if anyone has feedback on those speakers that would grand.
