Are speaker lids worth the expense? Do you hear them going down the road? I'm curious about adding hogtunes 6x9 lids but not if the only benefit is parking lot pimpin.
I added some to my SG. I think they were worth it. I can hear them going down the road, but you need to crank them. The girl loves riding on the back now because she can hear them perfectly. I would be interested in hearing ones that are angled towards the driver though.
I bought my glossy black ones from Amazon for $140 shipped. Can't beat the price.

It really depends on the speakers and the power you are running to them. You will hear them but just like ^^^^^ he said.. you kind of have to listen for them and really crank them. A lot of the time they are just a good filler. Most of what you will hear will be whats coming out of your front stage.
Mine are angled forward and I can hear them going down the road. My gf hears them real well. I have Baddad lids with HAT 5x7's pushed by bt4180 and a kenwood hu.
Pioneer 6900 pros. They get loud! Read many posts on here and all were extremely positive. Main guys on here, Im not one of them, won't steer you wrong

The Pioneer Pros are much louder than the Polks and have much more bass. Great speaker for the price!!
