Default Aftermarket Stereo Folks - Automatic Volume Control

Designing and putting together the pieces for an aftermarket stereo for my ride and I'm starting to wonder if I would miss the Automatic Volume Control of the stock unit. I know that Biketronics makes an adapter to keep this feature for double the cost of other solutions, but do you folks with aftermarket systems miss the AVC? Thanks in advance.

You don't really want the AVC anyways. It has a tendency to blow speakers up.

^ this and also find it to be WAY too sensitive at highway to interstate speeds.

I like avc a lot and since ditching the oem stereo I had to buy the biketronics avc. Works a treat and nil problem blowing up any speakers or anything like that

I use the Biketronics module and turn off the AVC.

It's a neat option but I much prefer the mute option over the AVC while riding. It seems the volume control masks my display at the most inopportune times. Yeah, OCD thing I know

I have the bt module also and absolutely hate the avc . When I am in town radio is turned down and when on open roads love the mute. I want to talk she wants to talk all good and no radio turning down when in slow back road river runs priceless.

Yep, aside from the other issues mentioned, momentarily screwing up the display drove me insane on the old bike. Only useful setting for AVC is off.
