Default Help needed Kappa Install! 2013 FLHTK

So the shop is installing my audio upgrade and they are saying the Kappa's cannot be installed into the factory mounts. I did provide them the Scoshe adapters but now they are saying there will be a big hole with no grill one the front of the speaker.

Has anyone who installed kappa's in front fairing on a 2013 FLHTK run into this?

I attached a photo of what it looks like

Have never used those adapters so not much help there. I've always used the Metra adapters. Your stock grill goes in between the fairing and adapter. I'm beginning to question your shop of choice.
What Schoshe mounts are you using?

These are the adapters you want. I can't tell what going on exactly in the OP's pic but it definitely doesn't look right.

that's not how it's supposed to look. Either wrong adaptor or knucklehead shop that doesn't do too many bikes. This should be the easy stuff. Those speakers fit all day. Order the metra spacer.

Gonna need an amp bro. No way around that if you want to be able to hear it.
Any particular reason you are going with the Aquatic HU?

I'm afraid Reno may end up with a screw hole in his inner fairing.

I am going with the aquatic av, as i worked in a dealership for awhile, and we installed a few of them. I really liked the functions of the radio and the performance

Thanks for the input....I ordered the wrong adapters ugh!

So I took advantage of their 0% interest for 6 months and went with Rockford TMS6SG instead of the Kappa's
