Default 2012 Street Glide Speaker and Amp Upgrade

I have a 2012 Street Glide with stock radio and speakers. I am looking for suggestions for the best upgrade to increase the volume and sound quality. Any suggestions?

Also what is your goal? 80mph sound? Parking lot sound? Volume vs. sound quality? Yes of course we all want it all, but there are trade offs. You can have the most booming bass in the world but you won't hear it much at 80mph anyway. So, budget & what is your end game?

Starting from scratch.......

New head unit w/ interface for hand Controls.
4 speakers (2) fairing (2)lids + horns (6 total, I guess)
2 amps
Lids & paint
Plus everything to put in all in.

I spent $2500.00. just trying to get the party started.

I am looking for volume and high quality sound at 70 mph with front fairing speakers only. I want a DIY option and I want to spend as little as possible, but probably between 500 and 1000

JL 500/4 bridged to DD AW6 mid range w DD AT28/BT30 Tweet. Add power, ground, inline fuse, done.

Best 2 speaker setup going. U can go with cheaper amp but be careful where u go as cheaper can sometimes have a dramatic impact on sound quality. Ur gonna want 175+ watts to those speakers though.

Still on a 2012 stock radio? Will there be enough room left in the budget to replace the radio to get the most out of the faring setup?

With that set up that T laid out. It will still sound dam good even with the stock radio!! That's an awesome combo!! He just needs to run the PAC SNI-35 LOC and RCAS for a low level set up! Eventually the stock radio will fail. But he's not there yet. Lol!

I too am looking for the best 2 speaker set up but have been intimidated to ask any questions regarding it due t o my lack of knowledge on stereos. Every time I start to research I get more confused.
I like your statement best 2 speaker set up but I have no idea what the components are that you listed. Are they speakers and amps? If so that would be great as I really like the stock head unit and will probably have it repaired when it dies. Is this a diy for an average person?
