Default Polk Audio MM692 6x9's in the Lids

Did a search here and couldn't find anything. Has anyone tried these in the saddlebag lids? I like their "Ultra-Marine rating (weather proof) and if they're anything like the MM652's I already have in my Tour Pak pods (and love), they're not very heavy. Heavy 6x9's in the lids kinda sucks. I'm always a little leery of that extra weight when I open my lids with the heavy Pioneer Pro 6x9's in there.

No need to look or try any other 6x9's. The pros or the dd audio ones. Thats it.

I'm testing them on my bench now. At 150 Watts the 6900 are louder.
Now, @250 Watts and the MM692s scream. I have them crossed it at 63 Hz/12, supper clean sound.
They are super light and the magnet looks like a toy

I ran those before a set of Pro's. I thought they were great. They don't hit as hard as the Pro's, but was nice to have marine and super light weight.

How much power did you feed to them?
I agree with you, at around 150 Watts the PROs are louder, but feed 225 Watts to the 692s and they are as loud and better sound quality.

I only had 150 going to them.

I'll do more testing over the weekend. I have a decision to make.

I have a set of 6x9 for a possible contender with the DD and the PROS being delivered today via the brown truck. The bad thing is the timing of the delivery not having time to install them as the wife and I are heading out in the AM for vacation.
I'll let everyone know how they are after the 21st
