That's a damn solid speaker. Best coax 6x9 u could put in a sled lid. Bang for the buck makes it even better.

Think this is the route I will go. I talked to a buddy who has outgrown his lids, so I think I can trade some of my junk, for his junk and basically get the lids for free. Pioneer pro in lids, mm652 up front. SS 1000 for power, line levelers and trim rings, and I should still be within my $500 self imposed budget. I must admit that I thought adapters went on outside of fairing, but after watching an install video I am all squared away now. Only question I have (for now) is polyfil needed. I see some posts saying to add it.

Thanks for all the help and advice thus far. Still have over a month of riding weather if Mother Nature cooperates. I am sure when I actually start the install I will be back with tons more questions. I still don’t know, what I don’t even know.

As I get a little more educated I will put together a list of what I think I want, toss it out there, get feedback, and start sourcing parts throughout the year, and have a nice tidy project for next winter.

Thanks again

Never noticed enough of difference with the poly fill to justify the ugly under my hood .

I have to pull the tank next week for some of the other projects I have going on, and would like to run the power and ground when I have the tank off. I have found some ofc 8 gauge wire on flea bay. What length do I need? Seems like the most common is 12.5 ft each color, or 25 ft each color.

Will 12.5 feet be enough, or should I go with the 25’?

12.5 feet will be plenty. More than likely enough to do both from 1 piece

5-6ft for each one depending on how you route them.

Knukoceptz is a good place for wire and fuse holders. If you haven't bought the Pioneer Pro's yet I have a pair I used for a week...$75 + shipping...pm me if interested!

Thanks for the prompt responses guys.

Moto Mike, I will have to count my pennies, and see how I’m looking. Between the bike and the VW’s I’ve been spending like a drunk sailor. I will hit you up in PM.
