Default Ready for More. Advice needed

I'm ready for more of everything and would like advice from everyone so I can purchase once.
Current setup
2014 flhx stock 6.5" hu
JL xd400/4v2 amp
DD AW6.5
BT30 tweeter.
bt355

I love the sound of this system, it is the best I've had so far. I like the bass punch and warmth of those aw. I just need more volume at speed. Thought about adding 6x9 lids with a nvx to drive them. What are my options with what I have. What should I keep and what needs to go. DD Vo6x9 lids with mmats/B3 fairing? would the xd400 drive that? What else will work?

I appreciate any input.

Do you have the arc bridged? If not then 75w per channel is not enough for the 6x9 in the rear. You should be able to hear that set up (if it is bridged) all day long at any speed.

Yes, the xd is bridged so if I add lids I would need a micro amp to drive them like a nvx or similar.

Default Volume at speed

IMO you need to add lower pods if you want to have more sound at higher speeds. If you want to have better sound with lids only and actually hear it at speed get some JL 8.8s.

That’s what I was afraid of with lids. Unfortunately lowers are out of the question with my current air cleaner.

I know, I screwed up when I recently put this one on. My priorities were thinking horsepower and forgot about audio.

All BS aside, if more volume is what you desire, you need a set of Pro Audio speakers in the lowers. 6x9's in the lids won't do it. 8.8's will though.

I’m not opposed to 8.8 lids (except cost) but how much power do they need? I’m still running fairing pods so limited on space for another amp. Nvx is about all I can fit.
