DD AW6.5 + VO-B3? = what amp?
Hi guys, DD suggested the AW6.5 and VO-B3 tweeter (VO-B3 over the AT28 apparently for durability in a motorcycle application). Going into Dragonfly fairing on a 14 Road King CVO, fairing only setup, no other speakers (now or planned), audio from Garmin Zumo to amp.
So two questions:
1) Thoughts on the VO-B3 v AT28 (has anyone had trouble with the AT28)?
2) What's the best amp to match with this setup?
As always - thanks for the help! Joe

I have the DD AW/AT set up in my fairing with PAs in the lowers and the Arc 600.4. The DDs eat alot of power and I think you would be better off with the new Focal 175 amp or if you can affort it the new BT4250. with that amp you will have more than enough for what you have and plenty of power to add on in the future with out upgrading your amp.

U might also consider a different woof than the AW if power or budget is ur limiting factor. There are a few other woofs that are much more efficient and are fairly competitive regarding SQ.
Of course u could bridge a solid 4 channel amp like the JL500/4 and u will be able to run most of these Speaks.

There is quite the DB difference between the AW and the B3 tweeters.
The AW will take some power to get them to sound good and if you apply the same power to the B3 be prepared to get your face melted off with the highs if ran in parallel with the AWs.
The AWs and the B3s need to be on separate power supplies to get them to kind of work together.
The reason that DD didnt suggest the AT 28 tweets is because they are on backorder until at least the 18th of may at the earliest.

An amp just for the AW/AT combo I would go with the JL 500/4 bridged or on a budget the Cerwin Vega b54 bridged. But that is me there may be other amps out there that may work better that I havent stumbled across
