Don't think I will ever want to sacrifice that space, so want to accomplish a good upgrade in sound with just upgrading the amp and fairing speakers.

I also want reliability. I bought the bike to ride it, so I will get caught in rain showers. Don't want to worry about damaging the speakers when I wash the bike, etc.

Ideally, I want a system where if I play the music loud, it can handle it. Don't want to invest a great deal of $'s and then cook the amp or blow the speakers. One that can be played fairly loud and still not distort.

So, I was originally leaning towards the following: My bike is 2019 Street Glide Special

1) Use the factory HU (pretty firm on this)
2) Focal Sport 4 channel
3) Hertz MLK 165.3
4) BT355 Line Leveler
5) BT Amp Mount
6) BT114 Speaker Brackets
7) Do I need speaker rings and/or Tweeter mounts?
8) Wiring kit?

Are the Hertz a good choice considering my criteria above? Or will I need to be careful with them when washing the bike or getting caught in rain shower? Better option?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
With the focal amp, you wont need an amp mount as that amp will fit directly on the stock amp tray above the head unit. Those hertz are a solid choice as the focal is too. As far as washing the bike just don't soak the speakers. Just be careful with them as with any speaker.

If you only ever plan on doing two speakers up front I would take a look at the Faital coax.

Haze, the 6hx150?

How would you compare them vs. the Hertz Mlk's?

Advantages/Disadvantages?

sounds like they may cost a little less.

comparative or better sound?

loudness?

ease of installation advantage between the two?

I will be listening to mainly Classic Rock, Hard Rock, and Metal.

Thanks all for the help/advice!

The Faital's are 8 Ohm speakers boss. Watt for watt won't sound as loud but...

what do you recommend for power on those Faital? The 8ohm rating cuts down power so I’m assuming you would parallel?

I've got a BT Line Leveler up for sale in the audio section, however, you may want to consider DSP like the RF DSR 1... if you only want to buy once . It will allow the best tuning and flexibility down the road.

OP, if u can shop damn hard for a great price on the MLK 1650.3, that a very nice setup. There r some deals out there.

Imho, I don't think you will need a DSP with these speakers so u might just hit up the classifieds and stick w the BT355.
