Default 2015 flhtp audio setup

Gonna cut to the chase. Budget build;

1)bought a cop electra, no radio or speakers came on it since cop.

2)purchased hd headunit from 2016 street glide $100.
was GIFTED with 4x 6.5" infinity marine speakers from buddy who upgraded.
purchased 600w kenwood amp from ebay $180.
purchased 2 lower fairings with speaker inserts from Ebay $100
Install $200

3)buddy ran wires calls me and recommends i buy a non harley headunit, unless i want hand controls and i woulf have to figure out a wiring harness since hd clipped a bunch of stuff and replaced with cop stuff

4)i buy a jvc car stereo (cd,bluetooth,pandora,spotify,Iheart radio)
buddy installs it along with lower fairings, amp and speakers. Sounds AMAZING !! like holy f@&k status, everyone is blown away.

5)he seals all gaps etc and makes it purdy. I leave, sounds "weird" while idle. I take off and its perfect.
Again at light, odd "jumpy" sound. No whine, no enginr noise.

I take off and its gone, i turn it up loud close to max (can probably be heard a mile away) and its perfect. I stop and push the fairing and it goes away.

Question;

1) could there be a wire loose between speakers, amp or stereo ? Or
2) he told me he grounded it to the metal housing in fairing (if im not mistaken). So could it be a weak ground, and the reason its "jumpy" is due to charging system not either charging enough at idle to power the amp OR or its sometype of engine noise ?

Your ground needs to be ran all the way back to the battery or to the grounding post in front of the battery on the frame.

Those are the only choices you have. Everywhere else is a dirty ground.

Was a loose connection in one of the speakers. No ground issues.

Loose connection issue was RCA cable, replaced and works perfectly. However i decided to run ground to frame, go with 8 gauge power cable as well as solder all connections.

heres a pic of it finished. Also made a custom weather proof box with a lid for rain.

this system BANGS !!!!
