Question In grill tweeters for 2014+ Roadglides

Asking for a friend. He has a 2018 RGS, and is doing SV165's with, I assume ST25's. The guy installing this package, is going to remove a gauge to mount them. I told him that I thought there was a better way. A speaker grill made for this task. Am I wrong? Or does he just have to cut holes in a Hogtunes grill? Anyway, I'd appreciate a swift answer, and a possible link to the appropriate product(s) Thanks!

Why not under the head unit? Seems to be most popular.

Most cut a hole in the Hogtunes grills and mount them that way.

If he's doing a tweeter, Hogtunes grill drilled to fit works well. If not that, there's another option. Biketronics sells a tweeter bridge also, thats spans the 6-1/2" speaker diameter. More expensive option, but the tweeter is hidden

On my buddies bike 2017 Road glide ultra wet head we mounted a set of VO-B3's in the lowers.

You can see them at the 41 second mark.

Thanks guys, I don't think he has lowers, so that's out. I haven't seen tweeters mounted under the head unit yet, but I will let him know. He's not willing to go with any other tweeter, than the st25's. Cutting the hole in the grills is what I recommended, just thought there may be grills already fabricated like that. I will also check out the Biketronics bridge mount, but, he didn't care for the ones from American hardbaggers. Geuss he's picky, lol

Not my bike, random photo, but you get the idea.
I think there will be depth issues with a grille mounted horn on a Rushmore Road Glide.

I doubt the ST25s are gonna fit in the grills on a Rush Road Glide. Drilling holes in the fairing of a new sled just ain't an easy thing to do psychologically speaking. Last I checked, the fuel and volt gauges are somewhat important.
Get the Beyma SQL60 and mount them in the grill or tell him to get a pro audio coax to stick in the fairing.
