Default Simple 2 speaker/ amp upgrade

Hey Guys- I have been out of the loop for a couple years and have decided its time to upgrade the speakers in my 16 Street Glide. Last I looked into it ,the popular choice was the Cerwin Vega B52 and Infinity Kappas. Is that still considered the best simple setup or are there newer and better options out there? I have the stock HU and a BT line leveler and want to use the stock pods. As of now I have no plans on adding more speakers. If I do I will just start from scratch. Thanks!

I will throw my .02 out there, you didn't give a budget, but this would be a budget setup. A pair of MMATS 601.cx and a NVX VADM4 would rock IMO. Especially in a batwing and considering the <$400 price tag.

Easy to upgrade also, just add another VADM4 and lowers or lids.

The VADM2 and a set of Infinity KAPPA-62IX would be no slouch either.

Sorry I should have mentioned keeping it on the less expensive side. Under $400 would be ideal so I appreciate your input. I know with 2 speakers you cannot expect miracles. Just looking for loud, clear, easy install, and keeping FM.

No experience on FM with the NVX VADM amps, but the price and performance I like.

+1. I just installed a set of 601cx in the fairing pods and they sound good with little eq work. I haven’t tried the nvx but it’s small and gets good reviews.

Running a NVX VADM 4 bridged & parallel and it's a very nice lil amp. It replaced the GZ Micro 4 and its a much better bang for the buck than the GZ w the same exact footprint.
