Im going in to get rewired by @Lucky 7 Custom Cycles and I'm pretty sure it's time to go back to the horn/midbass combo in the lids. Being that I have AB lids, my choices are limited. I can do yellow baskets or Faital 8fe200. Both rate similar power and both have 1.5" voice coil on a 4ohm speaker. With my current setup, they will get up to about 225 or so watts.

They will pair with mmats ds35t horns. Are the yellow baskets $120 per speaker better or more rugged?

 

Everyone has different ears and goals. I have used both and at those watts I would pick the Faital. I think they sound better, especially for the price. If you had 400w each then you might benefit from the gz.
That’s just my .02. But I’m sure Lucky 7 will steer you in another direction.

 

I'd put money on it they'll tell you Euphoria is the best and push that on you...

 

Faital very under rated speaker. I have 2 8's in my truck. The yellow I am not a fan of in the lids. (in the bags, a completely different story).

I ordered some Faital 4ohm 8s today. Lucky 7 did not try to push me towards Euphoria speakers. They did recommend a Euphoria amp to replace the Evo X that keeps causing problems....although it was not a hard sell at all.
