2020 Road Glide Audio
Just picked up a 2020 Road Glide Special, first ride out I could tell the sound system needed help. Looking for reasonably priced suggestions to replace the stock speakers and add an amp. I previously had a Vic with the Rockford TM400x4AD and some Hertz Cento's, not looking to spend that much quite yet.
i'll give a suggestion for a budget system. There may be better speaker options out now, but I ran a SS amp and infinity kappa 62ix speakers and sound was pretty good. Much louder than stock. You're just doing front speakers, right?
SS 520d.4 amp is about 120 bucks.
Kappa speakers around 115 a pair.
Amp wiring kit
amp wire kit
I'd also run new speaker wires. Stock are cheap.
You'll need to flash your head unit, or run some BT355 line levelers.
Front line leveler will be about 85 bucks,
LL
You'll also need a good pair of RCA cables
Like I said, this is a decent cheap system, but there may be better options for around the same price. I ran this exact system for about a year in my 17 RGS.

Thanks! Is the Flash of head unit something we can do ourselves or does it need to be done at the dealer? I have never used Line Levelers and would like to avoid them.
The amp seems a bit larger, any idea if it will with with the newer head unit taking up so much space?

Amp will fit fine. The new HU is the same size as the old one. It'll fit right under the HU behind the headlight bezel.
The flash would have to be done by a dealer or any audio shop with the techno research tool or an RF dealer can flash with the RF flash. Usually a flash will or should run around 50 bucks or so. I paid 50 for mine at a local HD dealership a few months ago.

I would find a used or remaned SD 400.4 S, set of used mmats Pa601cx (which will be becoming a popular used/for sale speaker) and up your budget a tad and you'll be happy....... for now
Op you'll probably want a pac sni35 as well to convert your stock connections to rcas. It's only 15 bucks or so.
