Reduced Volume/Power and Introduced Static/Crackle
Audio Help Needed:
2 years ago I installed MMAT PA601cx Speakers, Cerwin Vega B52 1000 Watt Amp, and Sony XAV-AX7000 Head Unit. It’s worked great with no issues. A month ago I replaced the Sony HU with the Soundstream Reserve. Worked great. A week ago the sound quality took a dive. I used to cruise the highway at Volume 25, now that level is half as loud and becomes static/crackling. Issues is coming out of both speakers. The ground from the amp is run to the battery. Checked and don’t see any issues. I tried replacing the amp, the RCA cables, and the speakers. No luck. The only thing I haven’t replaced yet is the head unit. I’ll try that next week.
What else could I be missing? Thanks in advance.
