Wow Oh Wow, I almost made a big mistake while looking at speakers for my 17' RGS. All of the recommended speakers are 6.5". Looking at the Harley Oem-Service parts, I see that my speakers are only 5.25".

 

a 6.5 will fit perfectly in your fairing just make sure it is made for motorcycles.

 

Just check the magnet sizes. Some like the standard ferrite Ground Zero Yellow Baskets need trimming of the ribs inside the pods.

 

I am fairly certain that everyone on this particular forum runs 6.5 speakers. It's the norm.
