Default 6x9's in bags: full range or sub?

I installed a Sony media player and 4" Polk audio DB series in my dash. Gonna put something in my bags pointed at the wheel. Would a full range amped 6x9 be better than true subs? Not sure how much actual bass I would get with a 6.5 or 6x9 sub. Any thoughts? Thanks guys! ( and gals)

I ran across a guy a week or so ago that had a fosgate amp pushing a pair of 10's mounted inside the saddlebags facing inward as you described. He also had a pair of 6X9's mounted in the loud lids, 7.25" J&Ms in the dash, and a j&m 4 channel pushing those speakres, all this on a street glide. Sitting still it sounded great, crusing down the highway with him on my side, i could hear the mids and highs, the 10s however were not to be heard.

I would say go with the Full-Range 6x9's. I installed 2 in each Saddlebag, sounds great!!
