Default Hogtunes 4x Amp with Aftermarket Radio

Good day everyone.

First, I did some searching on this topic in the forum and didn't find much on it.

The issue: HK Rig is dead.
The fix: Replace
The question: Is the Hogtunes amp compatible with aftermarket radios?

I found one thread where it said yes, but no other info was posted.

Installed: H-D Boom Speakers, front and rear, Hogtunes NCA 40.4

If I cannot use the Hogtunes amp I'm guessing that I will need to replace the Boom speakers since they are 2ohms and aftermarket receivers are 4ohms, not to mention a replacement amp which will also be 4ohms. This sound right?

Thanks all and enjoy your ride.

Whiskersvtwin. Couple of things sir.

1.) instead of replacing the head unit you could send it to Iron Cross Audio for repairs which come with a warranty.

2.) simply replace the head unit with any aftermarket that suits your needs/tastes. If i'm not mistaken that HT amp doesn't have RCA inputs so just use the speaker outputs of the aftermarket head unit to feed the amp.
