Default Mikuni to Cv Breather or S$S breather

Ok I currently have a Mikuni with a hyper charger on it! I’m not a fan of the hyper charger it’s big bulky and rubs the crap out of the inside of my leg making it super uncomfortable. I have googled what seems like 100 of option to adapt the Mikuni to a cv or s&s breather. I’m pretty unclear on what I need to buy as some are the entire bracket and some are just an adapter that looks to slide over the intake side of the carb. Can anyone point me in the direction of the right things to buy. All I’m aiming for is removing the hyper charger and putting a stock breather back on or putting the s&s teardrop on either way is fine with me. Thanks in advance.

You should already have the carb adapter and a support bracket. The problem is the current support bracket is part of the Hypercharger mounting kit and would be needed to sell the Hypercharger as complete. Remove the whole kit and replace it with a new stg 1 assembly like a 29440-99d. Then use any center bolt air cleaner cover.

So do I need to buy a different support bracket ?

If your not going to sell the hypercharger you may be able to use that bracket. You'll still need a filter back plate, element, cover and routing of the hoses.

It's normally cheaper to buy a kit in a box rather than try to only buy the parts you think you need! Buy a complete filter assembly of your choice, such as an S&S, remove the hyper unit and sell it. You'll get more money and be more likely to sell it as a complete unit. If you decide to buy S&S start by checking their own website, to identify the correct kit, before shopping around.
