97 Sportster Throttle Cables
What's the trick to getting the throttle cables in and out of the switch housing?

The best investment would be to buy a harley davidson shop manual. I have changed mine before but I can`t explain how to online.

After backing off both cable adjusters all the way, you should be able to rotate the ends of the cables to slip the crimped ends of the cables out of the ferrules and out of the slots in the switch. You might have to rock them back and forth a little, but they come out.

Thanks for the tip, I ended up taking the "circular clips" off the throttle ends before I was able to work them out of the switch housing.
