Will a 2004 Heritage softail tank fit on a 1998 Fatboy? The Fatboy is carburated, the Heritage I am not sure if they had efi tanks or carbed tanks? Can you help I need to carry more fuel for rides.

Hello old chap, hope you're not flooded out. I have a touring 6 US gallon tank on my 1990 Glide, after a bit of messing around. I suspect you will not find that it will swap over as if it was made for your bike, but you may find it can be adapted with some effort and a bit of handiwork. You would be better off asking in the Softail forum, where you should get more knowledgeable replies.

 

The `99 and earlier Softails have dual tanks, so no, it won`t work.
