Default Zaino

If your nuts like me and dont want to use anything that is abrasive on your ride, this is the best stuff. It really works great. And im not affiliated with them in any way. Their product is very popular in the chevy circle, mostly the newer the ls1, ls2 vetts, birds and camaros.

Very easy to use, and it smells awesome. Does not contain anything that is abrasive like curnaba (sp?) does. However this is a trick to using it, so it takes a while to get into the hang of using it if your used to globing on loads of wax and buffing till your arm falls off.

z2 and z5 contain nothing abrasive. My reasearch indicates that Carnauba waxes contain abrasives, which is why you get swirl marks.

You will find some abrasives in waxes that are called "one step" or "cleaner waxes". But carnauba waxes as a whole are not abrasive thats why they are your last step product. Their function is to deepen shine, add clarity and protection. One thing that we do at the shop is to add a wax over the sealant. If we used anything abrasive it would remove the sealant. We would never use a product that might compromise the sealant level.
Waxes we use are Victoria, PS21 Concours (S100), Griots, Pinnacle Souveran, Collinite, FK1 Pink Wax, Blackfire and Poorboys Natty and also various polymer/ carnauba blends form Duragloss, Smartwax and XMT.
Zaino Z2 is a sealant..Z5 is a sealant with fillers.....ZPC is a polish.
Z2 and Z5 are old stock as these have been updated to Z2 Pro and Z5 Pro.

I have used just about every wax I could get my hands on since I bought my 01 trans/am. You will not find a wax that will put a clearer liquid plastic look shine than zaino. Zaino has no abrasive in it. hell it will not even clean a water stop off if you dont dry it well enough. Takes alittle effort and time to learn how to do it right but my T/A and my bike get nothing less. Main advice I can give about using Zaino is the less you use in one application the better it works. Oh yea if you havent tried it on chrome you dont know what your missing. It also makes clean up so easy once you have got a good build up of it. All you have to do is z-6 or z-8 and bug spots and things just wipe off with a good 100% cotton towel.

From Sal's website:
NOTE: Zaino Z-PC Fusion IS ABRASIVE and should only be used when necessary. Z-PC Fusion is not intended for frequent use.

For years, visual imperfections such as swirl marks, scuffs, scratches and buffer holograms were the scourge of perfectionists everywhere. They infected vehicles without any discrimination - show cars, daily drivers, imports, domestics and custom vehicles all suffered. But worry no more - Zaino, the world's leader in paint care technology, has the antidote for all of your paint ailments: Zaino Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover ("Z-PC").

Featuring the world's first (and only) true, self-dissolving, fused tri-particulate, diminishing abrasive system, Zaino Z-PC Fusion is just what the paint doctor ordered for your vehicle. Whether your paint is suffering from spider-webbing, minor scuffmarks, or a fully developed case of the swirls, Zaino Z-PC Fusion has the cure. And best of all, it works equally well when used by hand or machine, making it as versatile as it is effective!

Thanks to Zaino's advanced, fused tri-particulate, self-dissolving diminishing abrasive system, swirls and other defects are safely removed from your vehicle's paint. The ultra-intelligent abrasives gently and carefully knockdown high spots on your car to reveal an extremely smooth, super-reflective, mile-deep shine. Swirl marks and other blemishes will literally disappear before your eyes, and they'll stay away - Zaino Z-PC Fusion contains no fillers or oils.

With Zaino Z-PC Fusion, you'll be amazed by how deep, glossy, clean, and blemish-free your paint looks, and you'll love the compatibility that it provides. Unlike other paint prep products that are typically loaded with cheap oils and fillers, the water-based formula of Zaino Z-PC Fusion requires no washing afterward - just apply and remove Zaino Z-PC Fusion and go straight to applying your favorite Zaino protectant. Further, there's virtually no effort required to apply and remove Zaino Z-PC Fusion. Just wipe it on, work it in (either by hand or machine) and wipe it off.

Zaino Z-PC Fusion is perfect for any type of paint - from single-stage paints to clear-coated finishes to gel-coats, Zaino Z-PC Fusion will bring out the best in your paint. Metallics will sparkle! Pearls will pop! Reds will scream, "Pull me over," and your black paint will never have looked so smooth. It's perfect for domestic cars, European cars and imports. So whether you're driving a super-exotic performance car or just running the kids around town, be confident that no other paint cleaner is as advanced, effective and easy to use as Zaino Z-PC Fusion is.

Sorry about that. This change in zaino's stock is since the last time I ordered. I have read about it now that you brought that to my attention. Still I guess you would have to say we were both correct because only the Z-PC fusion swirl remover has abrasive material in it and of course a swirl remover that is not a filler must have abrasive material in it. Z-2 pro and Z-5 pro are still NON-ABRASIVE and 99.9% optically clear. You will be hard pressed to find that in any of the waxes you mentioned.

If I ever get anything that its paint is in bad enough shape to need a swirl remover or cleaner with the great experience I have had with Zaino I wouldnt hesitate to use Z-PC

Z2 pro and Z5 pro are both polishes says it right on the bottle! Z-PC says it is a swirl remover and cleaner! That is not a polish.

Those products I listed in the above post were waxes..which Zaino does not have. Zaino is a sealant line. The sealants that we use are normally Werkstatt, FK1 and Blackfire. The 99.9% opitical clarity is attributed to almost all polymer/acrylic sealants.
Bottom line is....If it works for you , use it.

Ok, I've looked at their website and am still a bit confused as to what I need to do this correctly. After washing with dawn to strip all wax do I need to claybar a new bike? After that it gets confusing. Looks like way too many products. What's the down and dirty on the products I really need to do this? Thanks
