Default Can I run a 99 dyna with no speedo?

Have a 99 dyna (carbureted) and putting on new bars. Going to remove tach and relocate speedo with a JokerMachine speedo relocate. Won't have my speedo relocate for a week or so.

Can I just unplug the speedo and run the bike with no gauge? I know I will lose the mileage tally for any distance traveled, but won't be more than 20 miles.

Want to know if there will be any expected problems with the bike with no speedo.

Not concerned with legal DOT rules, etc….only if bike will run properly.

I don't think the speedo is anything but informational. The best test would be to unplug it and start the bike up.

Yes your bike will run , operate and ride perfectly normal without the speedo. 99 problems but no speedo ain't one.

In states with which I am familiar, the only gauge/dash light/etc. that is required by law is your blue high beam indicator. Other states may provide differently.

The bike should run but directional signals (cancellation) may not receive signal .
