Default Dakota digital gauge

Anyone run one of these gauges ?? Speedo & tach in one gauge.

I have a '02 T-sport, with the double gauge cluster mounted to the bar clamp.
I've always dis-liked the looks of this setup. would like to go with a single gauge, but don't want to lose the tach.

already have a single gauge housing that I can use.

I don't have the Dakota Digital gauge on my bike but it is absolutely on my list of things to buy. I've ridden a bike with the DD gauge and found it to be quite easy to read. My fear was that it would seem overly cluttered with too much information, and that would make it difficult to pick out the information I wanted. However, after riding a bike with the gauge, I realize my concerns were not supported by reality.

Yea I'm really into the Dakota digital gauge/tach.
Don't know the model I like by name but it's awesome looking. Never seen one in person I don't think. Just on here

Just want to make sure they're actually plug and play.
Don't want to be cutting into the factory wiring.
They're not exactly cheap, but getting rid of the double gauge assembly would be sweet.
I've mounted up the single gauge and let the tach hang.
It looks 100% better.

Just looking for opinions before dropping $400.

I have a 2012 bob I have a few for ya! Haha

How does the sun effect it?
Will I lose any features from my current bikes speedo like my gear, miles till empty, etc?
Is it hard to install?
There you go for starters lol

I also have one on my Fatbob. I don't have any issues with visibility (I have a blue display) but have heard the red is sometimes difficult. Can't speak to that though. They are truly plug n play. No splicing or anything stupid. Plenty of features for you to play around with as well, although I don't think they have the "Miles to empty". I never use that as I just reset trip A at each fill-up and ride a pre-determined (150 Mi) distance before filling up again. It does have a low fuel light however. Gear display also present. It should show on the website all the features of the model you're interested in. Overall, they are a sweet gauge.

Does yours show you your gear you are in? I've got an 11 and it just tells me if I'm in 6th.
All good questions though.

Factory unit? Mine has no tach, trip A & B, miles til empty, & clock. I've sometimes wished I had a gear indicator.....only when I forget what gear I'm in! lol
