2007 Low Rider : When I turn the key and flip the run switch, other than the normal high pitched ringthat happens before the engine light goes off I have a strange almost grinding sound (sounds kind of like a fan....hard to describe) coming from the front of the bike. It only happens for about 2-3 seconds and quits. It doesn't sound too healthy. Anyone have any ideas on what it is?

 

Sounds like an impeller or something similar in the fuel pump spinning down after the pump is charged. I'll listen to mine and see if it does it and I just never noticed.

 

You would notice this, trust me. I've had the bike for a month and it's never done it. Washed it for the first time yesterday....only thing I can think is maybe I tugged something loose....
