its probably because they are Japanese designed forks, made under licence in china, same as the electrical system

My 14 Fab Bob with 700 miles clunks when I apply the front brakes at low speed. I can't hear the clunk when I brake at higher speeds, but I'm sure it's clunking.

Maybe it's the 2 piece rotor and double piston caliper...... My street glide did the same, when I replaced the wheels with custom wheels and one piece rotors, never had the clunk again....

My bob clunks, doesn't worry me much, seems to ride just fine

Fixed my Dyna Clunk also with the $7.00 HD washer. Did it in the driveway with three tools and about 5 minutes. I can't imaging anyone would have to have to bring their bike to the dealer for this.

if that's the case check your front and rear tank bolts. It is not normal to have a clunk in the forks that will lead to more damage. Adjust it and torque it down to spec following the manual it should not re-occur!

worn floaters in front disc, lift front end, push front brake, if wheels rotates a little bit your floaters are worn, this is your clunk, replace front disc

I had this clunk until I switched to stiffer front fork springs and heavier weight fluid.
