For those not in the know. NHRS and Hammer have 88CU IN kits for Sportster!!

It is a major rebuild.

Sportster haters should go to the Sportster threads and look up the fellow with a 1250 Hammer kit that just did 10.2 in the quarter with it.

I started the 117" Drop-in thread on the CVO board. If and when, I get more info I will post on your tread. If you like.

YB

Sweet !

Thanks for the update YB ! Nice graph.. looks like the cams are just 'right there' wow..

I started the 117 thread here because the new Dyna S is supposed to come stock with the 110 and also because some of the guys here may or might be interested in simply flopping their 96s' and 103s' over as well if they can possibly justify the price point and prep work .. and or if the kits produce decent numbers .. but bottom end stability is still my biggest remaining question in all of this.. even if the comp. ratios are still kept on the lower side..

Bet it'd be a safe bet that if someone were to say start chasing a ratio beginning in the number 10 with this kit that they'd damn well better update the bottom half..

That's a pretty decent time strip.. but I wonder if its any more extensive 'surgery wise' on the sporty.. than say what a lot of the fellas here have done taking their Dynas down all the way and back up to ensure stability if for no other reason than their own peace of mind..

I haven't seen any sporty haters here.. some of the Dyna guys even have them as a 2nd bike..

I'm beginning to think Moco will sell a lot of these, in both the 110's and the 117's. It makes making the jump to motor work easier to swallow I think for many folks.

But I know I wouldn't sleep well at night without switching to either the Full Monty Timken or at least the SE Lefty's.

That old saying about "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" comes to mind.

But, I'm a fatalist so take that at it's worth

yeah, the guy with the 110se that was just done seems happy as a clam. $1500 was a square deal too. that's about where i rounded out on my 883->1200 conversion.

The 143 will fit in due time. It's the throttle body that's designed for throttle by wire that won't work, but i think a cable one is in the works and you'll start seeing the evil gear heads start slapping them on.

That 143 after everything said and done will run an easy $12k + (t143 specialty pipe, new trap door, etc......)

I saw the S&S 143 bagger at the Progressive Motorcycle show and its a work of art.

Like to have this prop in my living room:
