Default Dead Battery - Won't Jump

Left my ignition switch on for 8 hours at work today, walk out, all lights are off. Call a buddy with cables and a Kia Soul, try to jump with the car off (which I've done on other cars a million times), and I'll get lights, but it won't crank. Don't have a trickle charger, so I'm jut going to replace it. Cheapest and or best deal? Where should I be looking?

Quickest would be an auto parts store, may not be the cheapest. Basic supply and demand.

Cheapest way for a new battery is to get it replaced under warranty.

If cables were attached correctly it should start unless there is some information missing like a security fob situation.
Try leaving the cables attached for a few minutes with Kia Soul off.
Thinking it is a security thing.
I will guess the cables are of good quality and not some cheap give-away cables.
I will also guess you did not blow a fuse.
You have a brand new bike so you could warranty the battery.

Took the battery to Advance to have them charge it overnight, and when they tested it it only had 33 CCA versus the supposed 315 it's rated for. They said it tested fine it just needs a charge. We will see in the morning

From now on, use the keyed switch to turn off your motorcycle. Don't use the "engine cut-off switch."

Sometimes, I could really kick what the MSF makes us preach...

Get a new battery, btw. When an AGM battery's been depleted, it won't offer service like it would have otherwise.

UPDATE: Got the battery back from Advance after they charged it for free, installed it, cranked over first try. I'll probably replace it with something better in a few months, but I'm back on two wheels with y'all.

Still don't understand why you just don't get a new one under warranty. The original battery could have sat around in the bike for awhile and never got fully charged before you got it.
