Now pull them back off and install the Thunder Torque inserts in them. I put BSS's on about a month ago, then read about the TTi's. Install is easy, I can't believe the difference in sound, helping with the decel pop, and do feel stronger.
Best $30 I ever spent.

If V&H made a decent exhaust you wouldn't have to do this. The only reason they are popular is they have brilliant marketing & the dealers push 'em like crazy. There are so many pipes out there that perform better......

This is true, but those pipes the OP installed have great reviews, I may have missed it but I've read nothing but positives on them. I'm due for exhaust this season providing the well doesn't dry up to fast, I've thought of these and they hold high on my list, like the sound, the look, everything about em.

A member here turned me on to them, and with the "power chamber" they perform like a 2-1 with the looks of a 2-2 (which I prefer the look of a 2-2)

I can not emphasize enough, the Thunder Torque inserts made me love them even more. I pulled the V&H stock baffles, and added the 158 TTi's for the low low price of $30.
A friend also has the BSS's and he spent $90 on the quiet baffles and the TTi's perform noticeably better.

The only negative I could say if any, is the Big Shots border on the louder side of most pipes, but hey, I prefer fast and loud.

Just did the exact same setup with my Python Staggered Duals (base model version of BSS). I also pulled the baffles and did the DK 158 TTIs. Performance is much better and sound is nice and throaty now after break in.

Highly recommended. You may have to modify the rear part of the heat shield near the baffle screw to get them back on. I had to use a cut wheel to make a slot. But you can't even see it with them back on.

Most likely I wont touch a thing. Power Commander V, Arlen Ness BS 1 AC and V&H Bigs will make me happy.

You won't regret this simple TTI upgrade... guaranteed

I did mine with just taking the shields off. I did it right around the 500 mile break in for the pipes too. Having the shield off gave me a good opportunity to tighten up the headers as recommended at the 500 mile point. It would be fairly easy to do with a socket wrench, as there's not quite enough room on mine between the swing arm and the top pipe's baffle screw to get a ratchet and socket in there.

TTIs are by far the most cost effective upgrade you can do yourself in less than an hour that will improve your torque and exhaust sound as much as they do.

I also can't recommend them enough. I have heard good things about Big City Baffles as well, but most of those praises were sang before the TTIs came out, they kind of took over after that it seems like.
