Default Racetech vs. Ricor

Is there any difference/benefit between the Ricor Intiminators and The Racetech Gold Valve Emulators besides the ease of installation? TIA!

I will be watching this thread as I am considering installing Ricors+Traxion springs or waiting for the Ohlin cartridges to come out for the 49 mm Harleys.

Having installed Ricors myself, I found them easy to install as mentioned, but also liked the idea of not having to drill out the existing damper tubes, making the process reversible.

From research I've found that the ricors are a drop in unit and the race tech is a bit more complicated of an install. The designs are also a bit different in how they work, with the ricor being a bit more preferred from what I've read. Ill be spending the few extra bucks on the ricors solely for being a drop in unit with the least amount of headache.

I have Ricors in my V-Rod. I was so impressed with them, I installed a set in the wife's Sporty. Day and night difference.

Ricors have gone down in price since coming out.
I haven't heard of any unhappy customers with the Ricors.
Easy to remove when changing fluid.

Are you guys using stock (progressive) springs with the Ricors or the Traxxion single rate?

I'm running the traxxion springs, no complaints at all (big improvement over stock)

Thanks for replying. I also like the ease of reversal if I wanted to go a different route. I think from the substantial amount of guys pleased with the ricors, I believe I will go that route. I guess now the question is whether to go with the Racetech springs or the Traxxion springs.
