I have an 08 fxdc with custom paint and I'm looking for a custom tank bib. Not a fan of the leather. Is there any good sites out there where I can check out some options.

Seems a shame to hide and possibly damage nice custom paint with a bib. Consider protective film?

If you have a high-end auto detailing shop in your area, ask them about ceramic coating. I can't speak about long term durability yet, but most of the manufacturers claim a life span around five years, curing which there is a clear layer (almost like a semi-permanent wax) that provides a harder top coat that is supposedly more chip and scratch resistant than paint. I just had my tank done, but it's only around two weeks old now... I can say that it looks beautiful, and that bugs and debris wipes right off with a microfiber.

I would second cggorman's thoughts about a tank bra... Why have custom paint if you're going to hide it? The other issue with a bra is that you will have different levels of UV exposure on different parts of the tank, and over time you may start to see the difference. Some bras also may be prone to trapping moisture underneath...

It's weird about tank bras... I see them all over Europe on tons of different kinds of bikes, obviously made specifically for each tank, but they're almost non-existent here...
