Default Will a 160 rear tire fit a 3" rim with no clearance issues?

Wondering if a 160 width tire will fit my 3" rim on my '04 Super Glide? I'm pretty sure it will fit, but don't know if I will have clearance issues with the belt or belt guard. Anyone ever tried this? The stock tire width is a 150.

Measure the clearance you currently have. Multiply by 2. That is the absolute (unsafe) maximum ADDITIONAL width you can add.

150 = 150mm width
160 = 160mm width
25.4mm = 1 inch (inch measurement multiplied by 25.4 will give you the millimeter equivalent)

Go to the tire manufacturer website(s) and find the specification charts for the tires you are considering. Note the cross section (or overall) width and recommended rim width.
