looks great so far. Recently found an 04 FXDXI 15 min from home with an upgraded 95 SE engine. I'm deciding on what to offer.

Thanks. It all depends how bad you want it and what you're willing to spend to get it.

Put the finishing touches on the FXDX last night.

- Relocated turn signals
- Routed the wires and pulled/ pushed the wiring back into the frame
- Installed the Thunderheader
- Changed rear brake pads

Will soon be putting on new tires, changing the fork oil and all other fluids, maintenance, etc. Over the winter it'll be time to get into the motor work, and last will be powdercoating, but probably not for a while. Still debating on the color for the wheels. Either black or yellow/ gold.

One day, when I am retired, I really want to do a project like this. Impressive work.

how bad you want it is such an impossible question. while id love to have an injected FXDX and not need to black any of the engine, change to mags, or convert to dual front, round my way with the right patience an fxdb will pop up for around $6000. Asking for x-amount($1500) more than street bobs which equates to a large amount more than the nada($2500) on the bike makes it hard to figure out what to offer.

one way to make it a little cleaner would be to run the throttle and clutch cables through the opening in the triple tree with the wires. I just did a bar install myself and it made in look 10 times cleaner with the cables routed through

Added an HD Badlander seat. This made a significant difference in my comfort level. I'm not tall, but this allows my legs to stretch out a tad bit further. Well worth the cost for me. Snagged it for $102 on eBay.

Thumbs up following

I dig it bro! I will definitely be following this build. When you purchase new things for the bike could you post a link to them, I like that rear light and license plate holder you put on. I'd like to check out where you got them from.

Well..... having the bike put together didn't last long.

Currently in the process of doing the following:

- Fork oil change and lowers powdercoated.
- Brembo brake conversion with new lines from Magnum Shielding
- Bore bore kit
- Upgrading to gear drive or hydraulic....depending on what happens once I measure the runout
- Adding Leatherpros FXDXT bags
- Small misc. stuff (footpegs, fork boots, removing passenger pegs, LED headlight)

Here's how she looked last night....
