Did you buy an aftermarket or a HD part?

What tools did you need and how did you know it was adjusted where it needed to be? I have to replace mine on my 06 super glide I’m having the exact same issues you had

I've got a similar problem that has just cropped up on my 2014 FXDL.

Once warmed up the bike will consistently not idle w/o stalling out. Keeping a little throttle even at a stop keeps the engine going. The bike seems to be running fine other than this. I checked and there are no stored DTCs. I was out on the road so rode it to our local dealership and left it there for repair. However, the tech who finally looked at it said my Power Vision w/ Target Tune will have to be removed from the bike before it can be diagnosed (3 hours labor to remove). I said no thanks and have brought the bike home. I haven't ridden the bike extensively in this condition but it also seems that the engine is warming up slower than normal (might be wrong as these have been short rides).

So from looking over this thread, it appears likely that cleaning (IAC, butterfly, TPS connectors); or replacing the IAC, TPS, or the engine temp sensor will likely fix the problem. If it comes to replacing parts, what is your best suggestion on the order I start in given my symptoms? Or is there something completely different I should be looking at?

Mine did that very thing and cleaning IAC fixed it right up. Rule out simple stuff first by cleaning the IAC. YT has stuff on that if you have not seen them. Then look into breather bypass.

Geez...... WTH?

You really have no biz posting here.... NA motors are not equipped w/ SCs or turbos. Absolutely nothing to do with carbd or FI.

Usually cracking open the throttle plates and cleaning the throttle body bore and plates, cleaning the IAC cures the erratic stalls. Youve already got the IAC, Id just replace it, clean the TB and check. Hold off on the TPS, get your dough back.

I had a chance to work on the bike today. Cleaned the IAC and throttle body using CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner. Also, unplugged & reconnected TPS in case connectors were fowled. Back running like a charm now! If cleaning doesn't keep the problem away I'll replace the IAC.
