Default Heat shields for Bassani road rage exhaust

Is there full heat shields available for the Bassani Road Rage 3 exhaust?

do you have a rr3? If so, sell itt and get a rr2short. The three was made to run naked.

you can call bassani and talk to them. They can set you up with shields on the cheap. They ship fast too. I'm interested in hearing whay they have to say about you wanting to cover a rr3 thooughh.

Do you already have a RR3? If so, do you find that it puts off too much heat to be comfortable? Or are you concerned prior to making a decision?

I've been running one for the past year, and heat really isn't a problem (for me). The little shield keeps the rear pipe away from your leg, which is really the only place that the pipe runs close to your leg at all. However, I do wish there was a second small shield right under my heel, as my boot occasionally leaves a mark on the pipe right there (with mid controls). I'll probably make something at some point...

The lack of full-length shields was actually a plus for me, because the pipe is noticeably lighter than the full-shield RR2...

I am going this direction, picked up a used road rage in the classifieds for my FXD. I was baffled by why I was developing holes in my jeans when they weren't rubbing on anything. That pipe gets so hot it's burning through the denim. It destroyed a my chaps a few weeks ago the leather is all scorched and puckered in.

Wrapping Bassani pipes voids their warranty.

Hmmm... "baffled" while discussing exhaust systems... Unintended pun? Sorry... I'll muffle myself now.

I had the same nag with the tiny heat shield. Made one with 304 SS exhaust pipe and TIG welder, mild polish, and clamps on same as other heat shields.
