Default Knock off JW Speaker 8790A for $250

Speedkings is now slinging a $250 knock off of the 8790 adaptive headlight for 7" buckets if you have one on your dyna..... i guess if you wanted it cheaper you could find the source on dhgate, alibaba, or the usual import sights. I'm not going to name names but, most of the led fake daymaker headlights folks are bragging about come from the same factory in the same black box..... hint hint ... cough cough. You are paying ~$189 for a $20 light... the only difference is that your resold light now carries a $0.10 sticker on the box. Just saying.

You can already buy these Adaptive LEDs for less than $200....pretty soon you'll be able to find adaptive LED headlights for under $100

https://www.amazon.com/Funlove-Motor.../dp/B01LXS7YI3

The light above most likely came from the EXACT factory as Speedkings

Damn, $176 shipped is even more tempting. It would sure be interesting to see how they compare to the JW Speaker brand.

100% agreed, these are all being imported and resold.

Infomational asymmetry is the only reason these local folks are able to resell and such stupendous markups. In all fairsness to them, they are taking the risk and stocking the items and dealing with reliability issues and returns.

the moons taillight wasn't that big a deal and the connections were aleady done for us so i didnt mind paying the $15 premium and Tommy is cool.

i haven't found the source for these adaptive lights yet. I'll look in to it later and maybe import a small. Atch if the price+shipping is right. I'll test it and resell them on ebay. Make $50 per unit is fine by me.

That looks good. I've noticed a few around that look like the adaptive headlights, but in fact seem to use the curved array of LEDs as turn signals, not (apparently) for the adaptive function...

For example

If that's the case, it's possible that the knock-off adaptive versions might also have different internal stuff (even if the shell moldings etc look the same). Lower-quality LEDs being the most likely thing I'd guess...
.

i was just getting ready to post that. moons "gen 3" light is closest to the amazon "funlove" light but, in 5-3/4.
https://www.moonsmc.com/collections/...nt=27554748424

i'm looking for the source of the 8790a knock-offs now.

I give it about another month or so and we'll see the 5.75" adaptive LED headlights in the $125- $150 range on Amazon and eBay. Certainly by spring riding season.

Found......

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-3-...777285360.html

ordered one to see if its the same and compare the quality to the real deal.

If its the same, Speed kings is using no form of lube on buyers. I also found some other things. Cant really knock the buy low/ sell high moves. If folks are willing to pay, why get in the way of that?

Is this light for $59 adaptive like Speedkings or is it the one with integrated turn signals like Moonsmc? Eitherway, great price for $59.....but certainly hoping it's adaptive like the pics shown.

Any idea when it will arrive?
