Bought the bike used.
Battery was dead. Replaced it.
Bike started up and starts every time.
New battery in the key FOB (has the button on the FOB).
Press the FOB button and nothing. System will not engage.
Performed the "Are there any error codes?" procedure. No codes listed.
Performed the "What's my PIN?" procedure. Stays on Odometer reading. No PIN.
Performed the "Reset the TSSM / ECM" procedure. No change.
Bike still starts up. But no security protection. Anyone have an idea of what is causing this?

 

Hold down the key fob button until the system responds with two turn signal flashes and two chirps from optional siren

 

I held the button down for over 2 minutes. Nothing happened. I double-clicked. Nothing. I'm beginning to think the TSSM is broken. The part number listed in the code check process on the bike for TSM/TSSM is 68923-00c. That references the TSSM (Security). So I don't think the TSSM had been replaced with a TSM. Trying to avoid the dealership.
