Default Another garage door opener

I added a garage door opener to my street bob.

Bought a single button "clicker" from Amazon, along with this. It's a touch button for a flashlight, and I just cut the flashlight cap off.

I soldered some leads to the back of the clicker board, put a hole in the end of the box, and put it all back together. Not my best soldering job, but it works.

I put the clicker box in the space below my seat, then ran the wires along the left side of the tank, then up the middle between the tank and the forks. I had though I would fish it through the channel, but I couldn't find the end to the damn thing, and I didn't feel like tearing it apart.

Once I had it up there, I mounted the button by zip tying it to the throttle cable, and then soldered the touch button to the leads from the clicker.

I zip tied it down in a few other places to keep it out of the way. I will be going back and replacing them with black ties, but it works for now.

Total cost: under $25 including shipping

The "Clever Lever" is a plastic paddle that presses onto your throttle star wheel and makes it into an easy to use throttle lock to help with hand fatigue. The Clever lever comes in black or chrome and is $15 or less depending on where you get it (JP cycles is one place, I got mine from a vendor on ebay). The gas cap hanger is a stainless steel hook that presses into your stock gas cap and lets you hang the gas cap from your throttle cable while you are getting fuel instead of laying it on top of the pump. This has many benefits, it keeps you from scratching the cap if you are in the habit of laying it on the pump chrome side down and it keeps you from getting debris in your fuel if you lay it on the pump plastic side down. If you lay it on your seat or any other part of your bike it keeps you from getting fuel on said part of the bike. It also keeps you from forgetting the cap at the pump. Any way even though it can't cost more than $.030 to make I think it is worth at least 5 times the $5 plus shipping www.gascaphanger.com charges for it. Here's a third, replace your plain jane seat nut or choke **** with one from http://www.x-cessories.net/. I bought a silver pearl one for my seat and probably get more compliments on it than any other mod I've done, I actually wish there were more places I could use these ***** on my bike they really look that good.
Gas cap hanger can be found here - http://www.moto-xpressdlr.com/gas-cap-hanger.html
