Accessories and the Accessory Switch
Hey guy’s, I have a 14 Fat Bob and wanting to hook up some sound. I’m looking for power from the accessory side of the ignition switch to power the amp but I’m getting nowhere.
Is it possible to connect accessories to the accessory switch?

Someone will be along to help you shortly. Yours is a canbus bike, you must be very careful not to **** off the computer by grabbing power from somewhere on the main harness. There is a accessory plug for switched power somewhere under the seat, the location will be revealed to you by purchasing the Harley service manual. The price of the manual will save you much more money than the cost of one mistake.

Go to official HD site and choose an electrical accessory plug or the like for your bike. Look for one with the under seat plug, not a battery connection, then view pdf install instruction. This will show exactly where to get aux power for your year and model, and it's free, ha, ha.
This is what you want for a power source on your Fat Bob. https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...on-upgrade-kit Supposedly it will handle up to 15 amps, but I HIGHLY suggest you use a relay to carry the load, and just use that to switch the relay. It gives you ground, full time positive, and switched positive. It plugs into the OBD connecter and that's where it pulls the power from. I wired directly to the yellow/red wire on my OBD connecter to get switched power for my grip heaters and heated seat on my Wide Glide, and used a relay to carry the load.

I will go to the dealer today and pick one up.
Thank again!
Thank you W. Glide! I've literally torn my bike apart looking for a connector that didn't connect to anything and checking for accessory power circuits, couldn't find anything that seamed feasible to tap into.

I did the same thing on mine looking for some place to tap into.
Think you might find some help in this thread.
