Exclamation Speedometer Calibration or Cars Driving Super Fast??

hey all,

2014 fxdb; thrashin 2-1; arlen ness big sucker; v&h fp3 tune.

ok my commute to work is on 65 mph interstate, where i cruise at about 80 mph...(i know i might be overdoing it)...however i still notice cars ride up to my ***, i change lanes to let them pass while still at 80 mph, and it blows my mind. most of them have to be driving 90-95 mph!!

but then it got me thinking, i switched from forwards to mid controls about 2 months ago, and havent had any problems, but did i by chance screw up my speedometer some how?

is there anyway i can check my speed while riding?

A GPS, or smart phone GPS, or speed app...

If you are in Southern California..,that's the way it is, I'm in the fast lane at 80 and people are swerving around me.

I would listen to the previous posts and get a gps app. That being said, there's nothing inside the primary that could have ****ed the speedo up.

As far as being passed at 80mph, that's everywhere. Here in South Mo. I44 is a 70mph interstate and it doesn't matter your speed because you can't go fast enough for any one behind you.

Try going I-5 thru the base at 6:30am, Northbound. 100 to 125mph is normal commuting speed for most.

Oh yeah, don't park in the fast lane at 80, because 80 isn't fast. That's lane #3 speed.

Speedometers are horrendously optomistic as the numbers increase. Seems most all behicles do this. In ultra high speeds, they can be off by 20-25 mph. (About 11%.)
