Default 2017 FXDB 2" tank lift before/after

Thought I'd take some before/after pics for anyone thinking about doing a tank lift. Camera was in the exact same spot to see the difference.

I like the lines better, especially with the back dropped 2.5" like mine is.

Looks good! Mine will be here from DK in a few days as well. Did you have to use a longer crossover line?

Nope. No additional hardware needed.

**** yea man that looks real nice. Definitely inclined to agree with you with the lines. I wanna do the same thing to my lrs and since it's pretty much the same as the street Bob I think I'm gonna go with the two inch lift. Have you noticed a difference in your distance per tank?

I remember one post where the member said he was gonna adjust the float so his fuel gage would be accurate. I'm not worried about that cause it's never accurate anyway (I just use the tripometer) but I'm curious if I'll still be able to get the same mileage per tank.

Looks real good good though good job.

Sorry, haven't noticed at all. Never really went by the gauge. I live in Connecticut and we don't have too many long desolate roads, I just stop for gas whenever its convenient.

Looks a lot better lowered in the rear doesn't it. The tank lift makes it look awesome. Since your lifting the front of the tank up, you'd get more gas available to the back allowing you to go further before you completely empty the tank. So, the probability you can go further is likely.

I've been undecided on what air filter to go with...the S&S looks great on yours, think my mind is made up.

I'm curious to see how inaccurate the float is now. Do you think you could run it until it reads empty, then let us know how many gallons you use to fill up?
