oil temperature dipstick
just a heads up...
They make one for my 02 Dyna Wide Glide, BUT ... with my Vance and Hines 2 into 1. The digital rig is taller and there is NOT enough clearance for the top. Soooo, I had a 139.00 store credit, (oh well the wife got to buy more motorclothes).
Also, ifyou have one or decide to buy one .. you may want to keep the old onereal handy. I've seen other threads of these digital oil temp / dipstick's ... one fella stated.... its just like laying 140 bucks on yer seat and walking away. If somebody decides ther gonna take it .. it's gonna be tough ride home...

This is listed as for 2007 touring models I can't see why it wouldn't work, unless it is for the "B" motor. I have to go to the dealer to return a broken part they are gonna warranty, I will check to see if it is a match.

My '05 has the swivel type dip stick, and so did the digital thermometer I had for it... so, I think you guys are off on your years a bit.
Anyway - Mine worked OK for about a year, then I needed to replace the batteries... that is when it started not working so well.... wouldn't turn off correctly and would end up killing the batteries.
After installing the V&H 2 to 1, that rear head pipe gets real close to to the top know of the dipstick and my first ride with the new pipe totally fried the unit.
I think the V&H just accellerated the process, the unit was on its way out.
While I have heard of some folks having good luck with the digital unit, over all the experience has been that its a piece of crap.

I was looking for a dipstick with an analog guage for my '05 WG, because I had heard more than a few times that the digital one was a huge piece of crap and a total waste of money. I was told that if you have a swivel dip stick in there now, you can't get an analog guage because the thermometer won't work if it's swiveled. Now, why a digital one works if it's swiveled and the analog one doesn't, no one could answer that one.
i have one on my '07 UC and wanted to get one for my '06 WG. i too thought they ought to be the same, since both bikes had the new 6 speeds and the engines are basically the same, except for stroke. Wrong. looking at both bikes side by side, the cases are different on the trans. The engine oil dipstick on the '07 UC sits right next to and behind the trans dipstick. on the '06 WG, the engine dipstick is forward on the trans, right next to where it bolts to the engine.
