Default Top fork bolt

I just read on this forum that you can remove the top bolt on a wide glide front end. Is it possible to add fork oil through that opening?

If you're referring to the fork cap - yes you can remove it and oil added

Now pay real close attention - if you remove it..., while the fork still in the triples - you will be in a world of ****

Cap will fly off..., spacer and washer will fly out..., spacer will try to pop out

Likely bars will be scraped / scuffed.., forks will try collapsing

Not only is the spring under tension from the spacer..., but while still in the triples - it under load from the bike / wheel

==========

Research fork rebuilding procedure thoroughly..., before taking this on

Ghost

Man... Make sure your bike is also on a stand(jack) not the kickstand. It will be a costly mistake as your bike hits the ground!
Trust me... I did that once.
