Default 117 hp/tq

for those who don't know I have a 17 lrs with the se 117 kit, stock heavy breather ac, d&d fat cat, and power vision. I've been wanting to have my bike dyno tuned for a while, but haven't had money for it. With tax time coming, that will change.

On a pv auto tune, I'm currently at 105/120 hp/tq. I know nobody can give me exact numbers, but for those who have more experience with builds, I'm curious what you'd expect in gains. Again, I'm just looking for a ballpark figure. Last time I had warranty work, I asked them to do a baseline to determine my current numbers. Thank you.

Thank you cvaria!!! I've never seen those pages before but man there's a 117 chart that's making almost 140 torque.....I would love to have those results.

those are definitely not average 110-117 bolt-on. they are evil reindeer bikes. manage your expectations.

i am. I'd be happy with 120/130 to be honest. I thought one of them said it was an HD 117 but I guess I'm mistaken.

some are but, they've been tampered with. They went off the hd script with headwork or something

Evil reindeer bikes... I love it.

I have noticed that 117s built from 110s seem to not crank out as much power as 117s built from 96s or 103s like mine. Not sure why this is... Combination of cams, compression, and head work I assume.

most likely. Headwork makes a real difference but I don't want to go that far on this bike. I want to see where the dyno takes me and call it a day. Point was to make as much power as I could reliably.....now whenever I can afford to build anither bike (hopefully wide glide), I'll be shootin for the highest numbers possible.

Plopping in the 117 kit is something I've been itching to do for several months, cvaria can attest to that, but seeing the cost of parts/install, I could pick up a cheap crotch rocket again to fuel my need for speed. Then I'll have two bikes!
