I’ve got an opportunity to get my hands on a set of 2012 Road glide gauges for CHEAP. I was curious if anyone knew if they connections would work with my 2012 superglide. I know I’ll need a splitter, but I really don’t know if they’ll work. Trying to locate gauges on Harley’s website to see what things fit what years, it seems baggers gauges. Will only fit bagger gauges. Won’t cross. But that may be due to mounting vs electrical. Any thoughts?

A lot of work to do what you want it’s possible but not worth the work imo. Everything would have to be custom made
but, i agree.. would be easier to get the right goods
the op would only buy the gauges because they are cheap. Cheap is not in dales (mjk) dictionary lol. Those gauge mounts run about 500$ my guess and they’re only for 15 and up sharks

Thanks for the input. Yeah, Dale’s **** ain’t cheap. But damn does it make me drool!! My question was related to the electrical. After doing some homework it definitely isn’t worth the effort. I’m gonna just keep stacking chips and save up for doing it right. Lol. Thanks guys!!
The RG guages won't interface electronically to the Dyna.. Baggers still used the old J1850 single wire bus to get speedo and tach info.. In 2012 Dynas went to Can Bus.. They are 2 completely different system bus messaging architectures.
Thanks Max Headflow. I was doing a little research and concluded they wouldn’t work. That being said.... 2014 fxdl gauges should be compatible. I just don’t know what I’ll need to go from a single gauge to dual. I saw the Mickey Mouse gauge conversion post and follow it. Great write up and parts list. I just wonder if my 5in single gauge has the same connection as the single 3.5in gauge. Anybody know? I’m gonna pull my gauge and take a pic to see what it looks like. Then find the right connector to split to a dual. If it’s the same as a single, the Mickey Mouse post tells me which connector to get I believe.
I'm not sure about the mechanical issues but electrically it should be OK. Adding a tach should be simple. Since the 2014 uses CAN the only thing you need to know is "Does the ECM put out a tach message on the can bus?" If so you simply need wire in the tach. Here are pictures of the 2 wiring diagrams. The tack simply wires in parallel with 4 of the wires going to the Speedometer. One would expect that the message is the same if it is sent out on the bus.
