Wish for or regret ABS?

I rode 3 years without ABS, and just got my first ABS-equipped bike last week. I can brake pretty aggressively without locking up & engaging the ABS, so there's no issue there. If I need to brake so hard that they wheels are going to lock up, I'm happy to have ABS helping out.
One thing to be aware of is service-related: the break fluid flush/bleed process with ABS is not the same as non-ABS. From what I've read, the ABS system needs to be engaged so the fluid in the valves is released. Shops have a tool for this. DIY'ers have to do a fluid change, then ride the bike & engage ABS, then do another bleed.

When I was bike shopping recently, ABS was on my list of absolute must haves.
This because I am bit a slow with the right foot on the brake these days after a bad accident several years ago - I reckon I can use all the help I can get.
That said ,if a bike I really , really wanted did not have ABS - it wouldn't stop me from buying it.

2014 Street Bob. Absolutely no regrets for not having abs. Of course if I ever end up locking the front wheel and crashing and I'll be back on here telling you how I do regret it. When I was younger and First Learning To Ride I locked up the front wheel and crashed my 125 dirt bike. Lesson learned I've never locked up the front wheel again.
