I bought one years ago, but frankly it is junk. Too-soft foam no support, all my passengers found it a bit unnerving, as it 'collapses" at the back, rather than holding them in place..
On the upside, its really quick/easy to add or remove when needed, and fits in pretty well with the styling of the original seat.
If/when I take a passenger, I swap my solo seat out for a dual seat (not much more work, and gives a cleaner better-quality result.)
I also bought a cheap Phantom Pad (which uses suction cups!) for when I'm just giving someone a quick trip from one part of town to another... Wouldn't use it for long trips though! Don't use it if your son's bike has matt/"denim" paint, it won't stick well.
