Default wide glide 2006 rear master cylinder removal problem

Hi
i'm hoping someone can help on this. The cylinder is leaking and needs a refurb kit I guess. I've taken the banjo bolt out and removed the 28mm retaining nut. I've also removed the bar from the foot pedal and was expecting the reservoir to slide backwards and out. No chance, it is not moving at all. I cant see any other retaing bolt in the area and have tried a bit of persausion (hammer)
the manual says to remove a couple of nuts near the cylinder and use the pedal to remove the cylinder. I dont see how that works, so am stumped.
i've put loads of penetrating oil/wd40 on it thjinking that maybe the leaking bake fluid has gummed up the hole that the threaded bar goes thro the retaining plate but to no avail.
I'd gladdly welcome any advice help as am not sure as to what to do next and dont want to break anything
thanks
Mike

With the retaining nut, rear hose and actuation rod removed, it should come out toward the front of the bike. A bit of gentle tapping should help. Again...it comes out toward the front of the bike.

Than Joe
yes, put the nut back on, and gave it a few gentle taps and outfit came. It had rusted in.
the actual reservoir has split, so that explains the leak.

any alternatives other than fitting another mc. Wondering if anyone has done a mod to fit a different system?

thanks

mike
